Attend one of our events

There's no better way to learn about wine than tasting comparatively, talking about it while you're tasting it ("so that's why this wine tastes different than that!"), and hearing about the wine's background. (Plus, it's the most fun you'll ever have learning something.)

Masterful Malbec

Masterful Malbec

$20

Malbec has been one of the most popular varietals in the shop ever since we opened, and shows no signs of waning. It's full-bodied but with moderate tannins, abundant fruit but not overly jammy (at least in the good examples), and is generally an excellent value. For this tasting we'll sample through several wines from Argentina and one from France (the home of the grape) in a range of styles and prices - join us to explore the many facets of this grape! The wines will be:

  • Clos Seguier 2016 "Les Camille" Malbec, Cahors France ($17.95)
  • King 2018 Malbec, Mendoza Argentina ($9.95)
  • Riccitelli 2017 "Hey Malbec", Uco Valley Argentina ($17.95)
  • Riccitelli 2018 "The Party", Uco Valley Argentina ($23.95)
  • Aduentus 2010 "Classic" Malbec / Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot, Mendoza Argentina ($23.95)
  • Catena Zapata 2015 "Argentino" Malbec, Mendoza Argentina ($124.95)

Rhone-Style Whites

Rhone-Style Whites

$15

Though when most wine consumers think of Rhone wines they think of red grapes - the Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre found in the reds of Cotes du Rhone, Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas, Crozes Hermitage, and more - the region also produces wonderful whites made primarily from Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, and Grenache blanc. At turns floral, savory, tangly, and mouthfilling, there's something here for every palate! For this tasting we'll explore wines coming from the Rhone as well as single-varietal wines and blends of these grapes from around the world, including Spain, Australia, and the United States. This should be a fun one! Wines TBD.

Reserve Level ($95, tax included) includes earlier access to the event, with entry at 5:30 p.m., a more intimate experience (tickets are limited to 75), and 15+ additional, higher-end wines - in addition to the wines that will be poured throughout the entire event, each pouring station will have an additional luxury-level wine that they will be pouring for the Reserve Level only. General Admission event hours are included in the Reserve Level ticket. Even more awesome.
