There's no better way to learn about wine than tasting comparatively, talking about it while you're tasting it ("so that's why this wine tastes different than that!"), and hearing about the wine's background. (Plus, it's the most fun you'll ever have learning something.)

Exploring Domestic Chardonnay

Exploring Domestic Chardonnay

$15

Many people (oftentimes including ourselves, to be perfectly honest) think of most domestic Chardonnays as heavily oaked, high in alcohol, overly buttery, and low in acid. Yet when done well there's nothing wrong with that, and a good example can be downright decadent. For this tasting, we'll celebrate - not denigrate - the richness that is California, Oregon and Washington, with delicious examples in a range of styles (oaked, unoaked, buttery, crisp and minerally) from up and down the coast. Wines TBD.

Thief Wine's Spring Grand Tasting - Reserve Level

Thief Wine's Spring Grand Tasting - Reserve Level

$95

Thief Wine is thrilled to present our annual Spring Grand Tasting, a fantastic walk-around tasting event that past Grand Tasting attendees called "the best wine event they've ever attended." This walk-around wine tasting features more than 120 delicious and distinctive fine wines from around the world, with almost all wines in the $15-$50 per bottle price range. All wines will be selected by Thief Wine and reflect our focus of artisanal, high-value, terroir-driven selections (i.e., not the mass-production wines you see at most large wine tastings). Light snacks (cheese, bread, crackers, fruit, etc.) will be provided, and there will be live music for ambience. To ensure attendees have the best possible experience and prevent overcrowding, tickets are limited. There are two ticket levels, and both are all-inclusive - once you get a glass, you're welcome to sample whatever you'd like. To be quite honest, it's an embarrassment of riches (if we're going to put on a large tasting, we're going to do it right), so you'll want to pace yourself and be smart. They both sell out quickly so check out the details and the list of past wines on our Eventbrite ticketing site, and get your tickets today!
