There's no better way to learn about wine than tasting comparatively, talking about it while you're tasting it ("so that's why this wine tastes different than that!"), and hearing about the wine's background. (Plus, it's the most fun you'll ever have learning something.)

Bila-Haut and Ferraton Pere & Fils Winery Tasting

Bila-Haut and Ferraton Pere & Fils Winery Tasting

$10

Please join us on Wednesday night for a casual tasting of two great (and great-value) French estates with Carole Decourd of Sera Wine Imports. We'll start with three delicious wines from Domaine Bila-Haut, located in the Cotes de Roussillon, and then move to the Rhone Valley for three outstanding reds from Ferraton Pere & Fils. In addition to sharing an importer, these two estates have a huge asset in common - they're both owned by M. Chapoutier, one of France's legendary producers. Chapoutier is known for their commitment to organic and biodynamic farming and their outstanding quality to price ratio, and under their leadership both Bila-Haut and Ferraton have made great strides in the vineyards and wineries - this should be a delicious tasting! The wines will be:

  • Domaine Bila-Haut Blanc, Cotes de Roussillon France ($13.95)
  • Domaine Bila-Haut "L’Esquerda", Cotes de Roussillon France ($25.95)
  • Domaine Bila-Haut "Occultum Lapidem", Cotes de Roussillon France ($26.95)
  • Ferraton "Plan de Dieu" Cotes du Rhone Villages, France ($15.95)
  • Ferraton Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge, Rhone Valley France ($43.95)
  • Ferraton St. Joseph Rouge, Rhone Valley France ($31.95)

This is a casual drop-in tasting - stop in any time between 5:30 and 7 p.m.

Live music, light appetizers, and your own Riedel wine glass to keep are included!

There are two ticket levels, and both are all-inclusive - once you get a glass, you're welcome to sample whatever you'd like. Tickets are now on sale - get yours today!

General Admission event hours are included in the Reserve Level ticket. Even more awesome.
