There's no better way to learn about wine than tasting comparatively, talking about it while you're tasting it ("so that's why this wine tastes different than that!"), and hearing about the wine's background. (Plus, it's the most fun you'll ever have learning something.)

Tempranillo is one of the world's classic varietals and the jewel of Spain's wine culture, yet has thrived nowhere else (excepting Portugal). It's a malleable grape, and is made in a wide range of styles throughout the country. In this tasting, we'll explore the classic regions for Spanish Tempranillo - Rioja, Ribera del Duero, and Toro, tasting wines made in both the traditional and modern styles. Ranging from medium to full bodied, these wines offer something for every red wine lover. Wines TBD.

Pinot Blanc / Bianco & Pinot Gris / Pinot Grigio

Pinot Blanc / Bianco & Pinot Gris / Pinot Grigio

$15

Though Pinot Blanc / Bianco and Pinot Gris / Grigio are each the same grapes, stylistically they're often quite different, ranging from insipid (we'll be skipping those examples) to crisp and fruity to lush, spicy, and mouthcoating. For this tasting we'll explore wines from Italy, France, and the United States to discover just how interesting the varietals can be. Wines TBD.

Thief Wine is thrilled to present our annual Spring Grand Tasting, a fantastic walk-around tasting featuring more than 120 delicious and distinctive fine wines from around the world, on Friday, April 24. All wines will be selected by Thief Wine and reflect our focus of artisanal, high-value, terroir-driven selections (i.e., not the mass-production wines you see at most large wine tastings), with retail prices ranging from $15-$50 per bottle. Live music, light appetizers, and your own Riedel wine glass to keep are included!

There are two ticket levels, and both are all-inclusive - once you get a glass, you're welcome to sample whatever you'd like. Tickets are now on sale - get yours today!

General Admission ($65, tax included) includes admission from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., with the chance to sample and enjoy the 120+ wines, grouped among roughly 16 tables. Tickets are limited to 125. It's pretty awesome.

Reserve Level ($95, tax included) includes earlier access to the event, with entry at 5:30 p.m., a more intimate experience (tickets are limited to 75), and 15+ additional, higher-end wines - in addition to the wines that will be poured throughout the entire event, each pouring station will have an additional luxury-level wine that they will be pouring for the Reserve Level only. General Admission event hours are included in the Reserve Level ticket. Even more awesome.

To whet your appetite and get a sense of what to expect, check out the list of wines that we poured at our Fall 2019 Tasting on our Eventbrite page!
